Smart planning and digital resource management – would you like to further develop or consolidate your skills in using Visual Planning®? If so, our basic training courses are just what you need.

All sessions take place online, and you will receive all relevant information and training materials in advance. Experienced trainers lead the training sessions. Through a wealth of information and realistic exercises, participants learn how to use Visual Planning® in depth.

The training is designed and delivered by our long-standing sales partner, AHAG-Unternehmensberatung (the course is conducted in German).

The training courses are offered as Online webinar (via Zoom). The practical sessions take place in groups of two. For the practical sessions, you will be given access to a personal Visual Planning training system. In addition, you will receive Training and practice materials in PDF format.

1. Configuration of Visual Planning®

This training course is aimed at people who wish to set up or customise a Visual Planning schedule themselves. These are typically IT staff, Visual Planning key users and those involved in Visual Planning projects.

Contents

  • Basic concepts of Visual Planning
  • Creation of the basic structure comprising dimensions and categories
  • Mapping processes using operation hierarchies and operation creation rules
  • Creating simple planning views

2. Operational use of Visual Planning®

This training course is aimed at people who regularly work with a Visual Planning application in an operational capacity, such as dispatchers, team leaders or Visual Planning key users.

3. Advanced training course on authorisation control

This training course is aimed at people who wish to design, set up or customise access control for a Visual Planning project.

  • Automatic and manual creation of authorisation objects
  • Filters as the basis for authorisation objects
  • Dynamic permissions (own tasks / own team)

4. Advanced training course: Import/Export/Interfaces

This training course is aimed at people who wish to design, set up or customise data import or export for Visual Planning. This is necessary for all types of interfaces. Participants are typically IT staff, Visual Planning key users and those involved in Visual Planning projects.

Contents

  • Basics of interfaces in Visual Planning
  • Setting up import/export definitions and using them
  • Automation of imports/exports as an interface, monitoring
  • URL-triggered execution of imports/exports for live integration
  • Linking exports to imports for internal VP automation
  • Integration of SQL procedures for customising planning data

5. Advanced training course on VP Go and VP Portal

This training course is aimed at people who wish to set up Visual Planning on mobile devices or via the web. The VPPortal and VPGo modules enable planning via a browser or smartphone. These modules can be used to extend a wide variety of planning processes.

  • Request workflows, such as holiday requests, can be processed directly from the app

  • Create reports, such as those detailing hours worked or status updates
